This study is aimed at analyzing gender inequality in Elizabeth Rudnick’s Novel Mulan. focused on the phenomena of novel, and seen through socio-cultural context. Mulan tells about a young Chinese woman, female warrior from period Northern Southern dynasties. She disguises herself as man to fight. replaces her father war. As first child, burdened with tasks bringing honor family; while, that time, kingdom does not allow woman join Such part story novel portrays inequality. In study, descriptive qualitative method applied. The result this research shows cover violence against women presented novel.
